Another thing to ponder about your first job is "will this help me get my second job?" Considering your first job usually only lasts a year or two, it's really just a first step. However, if you get pidgeon-holed in an industry you don't like, or if you get trapped with a skillset that isn't entirely portable, you'll have trouble getting your second job and doing what you really want to.
Exactly. Grads need to think long term not just trying to get any job...good point, Scott!
