Much like cover letters, there are no hard and eternal rules for resume writing. All we can do is observe the trends and stay within the accepted guidelines.
The key is that your resume should reflect who you are. For example, if you're a graphic designer marketing your illustrative and imaginative style, don't send something that looks like it was made with Notepad. Don't write that way either.
Exactly. There is no one way to do it! But you should follow the guidelines!
